Thembani is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience and is currently Chief Executive Officer of PowerX (Proprietary) Limited a licenced electricity trader in South Africa). He was the Regulator Member primarily responsible for electricity regulation at the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) from 2005 to 2016. Prior to NERSA, Thembani served as Managing Director of various entities including Testing & Conformity Servicesat the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), Bytes Managed Services and IJANGA Consulting Services.

Karén is a professional with over 24 years of relevant experience in the conceptualization and design of large infrastructure projects and programmes. She started in 1989 as a financial specialist and grew into a project management role with a focus on public sector funded projects. During 2001, She was approached by USAID (IP3) and seconded to the Department of Finance of South Africa (the National Treasury) to participate in the establishment of the South African Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Unit in the National Treasury. Karén was for a period of 9 years, with the South African National Treasury, Public Private Partnership (PPP) Unit and thereafter held the position as Head of the Independent Power Producer (IPP) Procurement Office in the South African Department of Energy from 2011 until July 2019. Karén also has extensive experience in the procurement and funding of large-scale infrastructure projects such as accommodation, toll roads, water and sanitation and school infrastructure PPP concessions. She is currently an independent consultant in the energy, water and other infrastructure sectors and hopes to build on her experience and success with the establishment of IPP Procurement Office and the renewable energy and other IPP programmes in South Africa to ensure sustainable and responsible infrastructure development.

Sisanda has more than 15 years' experience in the financial services sector. Sisanda is a director and chief operations officer at Basis Points Capital since 2009, responsible for the implementation of financial advisory mandates as well as business development. Sisanda was previously a Structured Finance Consultant at Investec Bank Limited responsible for funding transactions in the mid-market space including mergers and acquisitions, leverage buy out and black economic empowerment deals. Sisanda is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants

Eddie is the Managing Director of Khalipha Consulting, a Film and Broadcast Media Advisory Service company.  He is a Non-Executive Director of On Digital Media, the operator of TopTV, now StarSat, where he has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He saw the company through a business rescue process having served as consultant to the business rescue practitioner. Eddie was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture having served the institution for a period of ten years.  He played a key role in the development of South Africa’s film policy and the creation of financial instruments that support the development of the film industry. Eddie played a critical role in the drafting of the Broadcasting Act, as well as shaping the content development strategy of the South African government. At the 64th Cannes Film Festival, Eddie was awarded the African Vision Award, for his dedication as a creative defender of African Cinema. Eddie Mbalo is an entrepreneur and a director of companies in the different sectors of the economy. He is passionate about corporate governance.

Gontse was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from 1 July 2020. Gontse‘s academic qualifications include MSc (Actuarial Management) and BSc (Statistics and Actuarial Science). He previously led the asset management team at Encha Group, as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that he headed up Encha Tech Proprietary Limited. He has also served as a Non-Executive director of JSE-listed SacOil Holdings Limited (now Efora Energy Limited). Gontse has knowledge and experience spanning more than 15 years in asset management (particularly of real assets), corporate finance and governance, as well as financial management.

Petro is a chartered accountant by profession and holds BCom Accounting and BCom Accounting Honours degrees, and has extensive experience in financial management, governance and reporting. Her previous roles include Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance for an AltX-listed technology solutions company.
